Group 4 - Post 7 ( Questions Of The Reflection And Each Member's Reflections)

Questions Of The Reflection

  1. What have you learnt from the lessons?
  2. Do you enjoy the lessons? Why?
  3. What are the difficulties that your group and you faced while working on the project?
  4. What would you propose to improve this mini writing project?

Member's Reflections

Wen Jie: I have learnt how to make a blog and to make sure that everyone does their tasks assigned as a group leader. I enjoyed the lessons given as I find making a blog, fun compared to the normal lessons where one would learn from the whiteboard how to write a proposal. We faced time constraint as we are unable to meet up to discuss on how to do the Teacher's Day card as we are busy with our CCAs. I would propose that we do this project during Semester 1 so that we do not need to rush the project as Semester 2 is a short Semester and that everyone is focusing on the upcoming End-Of-Year examinations.

Darryl: I have learnt that teamwork is crucial to complete this mini writing project. I enjoyed the lesson as we get to create a blog which is an uncommon tool for a writing project. While working on the project, what we write will not be saved immediately, therefore only one person can edit the post at a time or else some of the information might be lost when we refresh.
I would propose to have more time for the project as we are always rushing to complete the project.

Rachel: I learnt teamwork from the lessons. I enjoyed the lessons because they are interesting and meaningful. The difficulties our group faced is that we do not have enough time for the project to be completed and thus needed to be rushed.
I propose that we can do a PowerPoint slide instead of doing a blog.

Samanthe: I have learnt how to do a blog as I have never done one. I enjoyed the lesson because I got to work on a blog as a group. It is also meaningful as we are doing this project for Teacher's Day. We faced the difficulty of not doing the gift together as we do not have enough time to meet up. I would propose that we do it for more teachers instead of only one.

Group 4 - Post 6 ( Various Ways To Present The Gift To The Teacher And The Most Suitable Way To Present The Gift To The Teacher And Why)

Various Ways To Present The Gift To The Teacher

We think that there only three suitable ways to present the gift to the teacher. The first way would be to give the gift when it is done immediately, the second way would be to give the gift during Teacher's Day. Lastly, the third way is to present the gift and surprise him when he feels sad that his students did not do so well for their tests and that the card would cheer him up.

Most Suitable Way To Present The Gift To The Teacher

We decided to do the second way of giving the gift to the teacher which is to give the gift during Teacher's Day as Teacher's Day is a joyous occasion for teachers and during our interview, he wanted his students to give them their 'love' for him on that day. So we decided to give him the gift during Teacher's Day to show him our 'love' for him by presenting our handmade card made with our 'love' and show that we really like him as our favourite teacher.

Group 4 - Post 5 ( Which Gift Is The Most Suitable And Reason For Choice, Materials Needed For The Gift)

Final Discussion Of Which Gift Idea Is The Most Suitable

We think that the first idea is the most suitable one as it is the most sincere gift to give and the most 'green' gift to give. We find it the most touching gift to give him and that we can express our thoughts to him as we will be writing sentences to thank him.

Materials Needed For The Gift

  • Colour Paper - Green and Pink
  • Marker
  • Decorative Items

Why The Gift Is Suitable For The Teacher

The first gift is suitable for the teacher as the gift is the most priceless and the most valuable gift for him. The second gift would be a mug which we would decorate and that when he uses the mug, he would think of us. For the third gift, we can put pictures of him and his daughter as he feels very happy by seeing his daughter and how happy she is. We also can add notes or photos to the scrapbook too. Lastly, for the fourth gift,  we would buy him a chocolate chip ice-cream as he likes to eat chocolate chip ice-cream.

Our favourite teacher is.....

Mr Amit

We have chosen Mr Amit as he is funny, interesting and friendly.
He would joke around in class and that would make the class laugh.
